EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant industrial experience and qualifications in mechanical or diesel engine design disciplines would be an advantage.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, other educational routes and disciplines will be considered.
- Proven broad-minded approach to the job driving "thinking outside the box" and Continuous Improvement.
- Awareness of ATEX Directive would be an advantage.
JOB SUMMARY
Working with project Engineers to take full responsibility for the design of exhaust heat exchangers for use in diesel engine applications.
Working with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to investigate hazardous area solutions for new and future technologies for incorporation on diesel engine systems.
Establishing working relationships with engine manufacturers and research establishments to keep oneself and the Engineering team abreast of engine technology development focussing on the likely implications for ATEX compliance.
Supporting application Engineers with specific project aspects as required.
